Turner Sims announces spring 2020 jazz season: Grammy-nominee Theo Croker, Mercury-nominee SEED Ensemble, local Youth Jazz Orchestra and more.
In the second half of our Year of Journeys we celebrate the musical pathways of current stars, award winners and artists of the future. Beginning with vintage melodies from the 1920s courtesy of quartet The Dime Notes we encompass everything from a celebration of the music of Joni Mitchell with singer Sara Colman to the ambient sounds of Portico Quartet, from the 20th anniversary celebration from jazz supergroup Acoustic Triangle to the mix of styles perfected by Mercury Prize nominees SEED Ensemble, and Grammy-nominated star trumpeter Theo Croker. We're proud to continue our support for jazz education by presenting Southampton Youth Jazz Orchestra’s latest adventure, this time with star saxophonist Tim Garland.
