A winter music festival at Stadtgarten Cologne
At the start of 2023, the 12th edition of this dazzling music festival once again aims to highlight the vital, creative, and multi-layered music scene of Cologne and North Rhine-Westphalia. The little sister of NYC's Winter Jazzfest will (finally) happen with a bustling live audience and free admission again.
In 2023, Winterjazz Köln is again organised in cooperation with NICA artist development.
NICA artist development is a support programme funded by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) for musicians working in the field of jazz and contemporary music who wish to advance their artistic profile and professionalisation.
NICA will host the 6th of January as an exclusive event for invited guests and professionals, presenting seven fascinating new projects of the current NICA artists, such as Pablo Gīw, Laura Totenhagen, Fabian Dudek, Luise Volkmann, Janning Trumann, Kira Hummen & Philip Zoubek.
On Saturday, 7th of January, during the public part of Winterjazz 23 another total of 10 bands will visibly and audibly showcase their cross-regional networking and collaborations on the three stages at Stadtgarten.
