We just finished our 2019 XJAZZ edition.
With 21.000 visitors and more then 90 concerts in 12 venues we reached a new record.
We want to thank all musicians, audience, local and international partners and team members to make it such a success.
Showing the genre in maximum variety XJAZZ reaches mainly to a very young and former non-jazz crowd.
XJAZZ combines international headliners like Nneka, Yussed Days, Kate Tempest, Rymden, The Bad Plus, Yaron Herman with newcomers from the rich Berlin scene (like Rosemarine, Wanubale, Felix Henkelhausen, J. Lamotta) and brings Jazz to new places (indie & techno clubs, churches, off locations).
Besides the concerts, XJAZZ also organized an international jazz workshop-week for students, an XJAZZ for kids event, and several public masterclasses & panels.
XJAZZ also released an own streaming app „supreme jazz“ and will organize multiple international XJAZZ editions. Stay tuned ;)
