Raahen Rantajatsit aka Raahe Jazz on the Beach Festival is an intimate modern and contemporary outdoor jazz festival. The 28th Raahen Rantajatsit will be held 28 - 30th July 2016.
Raahe is an idyllic, old wooden seaside town in Northern Finland.
The main concerts, which were previously played in Fantti, are now divided between two venues: first a concert inside Raahen Teatteri or on its open air stage in the early evening, and then a concert featuring three bands at cafe Ruiskuhuone by the sea later in the evening. The concerts in Härkätori park, the open rehearsal in Galleria Myötätuuli and the lecture in the city library bring Jazz on the Beach to the everyday environment of the people in Raahe. The festival program also features a concert on the island of Iso-Kraaseli. Now jazz tourists have a chance to explore the Raahe archipelago, which was voted the excursion destination of the year in Finland in 2016.
