Riga Jazz Stage is an annual event held in Riga bringing together Latvian and foreign rising jazz stars and allowing the audience to empathize for creative competition and simply enjoy yet unheard jazz interpretations. It is a great opportunity for young jazz talents to obtain recognition, discover their own talents and present themselves on the international level.
Special guests: Kurt Rosenwinkel (USA), Robinson Khoury (France), Michael Valeanu (France) and Latvian Radio Big Band.
Since it's founding in 2004 more than 160 musicians from 23 countries has already participated in the contest! Among the winners, there are such famous Latvian musicians like Intars Busulis, Kristīne Prauliņa, Daumants Kalniņš, Kristaps Vanadziņš, Andris Buiķis and others.
Riga Jazz Stage 2016 Grand Prix won the jazz vocalist from Germany - Erik Leuthauser and French trombonists Robinson Khoury.
Tickets can be purchased on each contest day separately, or as a three-day Season Ticket, which guarantees a place with better acoustics and visibility. The number of Season Tickets is limited.
Prices are ranging from 10 – 30 EUR per day.
Season Ticket costs 60 EUR.
