In the end of October has started one of the most important jazz festivals in Poland - PalmJazz Festival, whose artistic director is Krzysztof Kobyliński. The festival will go on until the end of November. During this time PalmJazz will give to recipients its best: a unique ambience in this part of Europe is caused by the shape of the festival and the selection of artists. Among the stars of this year's edition of PalmJazz are: Kurt Elling, one of the most outstanding jazz vocalists of our times; Jan Garbarek - brilliant spatial sounds of his saxophone; Billy Cobham with band – beat of percussion with grace and pulsation compatible with the beating of the human heart.
There will be also a jazz representation from Poland: Stanisław Soyka and Wojciech Karolak. If musicians who are absolute discoveries are included in the content of this festival, line-ups and names just paving their way to the title of a legend, then it can be said that the PalmJazz Festival is complete. This year's edition includes 17 concerts in Gliwice, as well as accompanying concerts in Racibórz (as a star: John Scofield) and Tarnowskie Góry.
