A lot has changed since the beginning of the year, especially when thinking about the music industry and the whole cultural sector. We’ve had to rearrange, rethink, reschedule everything, come out with different concepts, safe for everyone involved, go digital when it was possible and simply wait for the uncertainty to go away.
With all of this going on, the Jazz in the Park festival in Romania decided to have a special intervention on the exact days when the 8th edition of the festival would have normally taken place: June 25-28, 2020. They invited the local audience on A walk down memory lane, an open-air exhibition placed in the Central Park of Cluj-Napoca, with pictures and stories from the first seven years of Jazz in the Park.
It was the safest option, one that would keep the festival connected to its community, one that would celebrate this special bond between the two of them. People had the chance to revisit some of the most important moments in the history of the festival and the stories that accompanied them. It was a truly emotional journey.
The 8th edition of Jazz in the Park will now take place on June 24-27, 2021.
