Five Ghent-based music halls (Handelsbeurs Concertzaal, Democrazy, Gent Festival van Vlaanderen, MIRY Concertzaal and Kunstencentrum Vooruit) join forces with the new livestream platform ‘Sound of Ghent’. Starting from October 1st they present a diverse concert calendar of high quality live streams. With concerts of different music genres: pop, rock, jazz, hip-hop, classical music: everything is possible.
Driven by the global coronacrisis and the reduced capacities of their concert halls, the five partners looked after a formula to be able to maintain the connection with their audience. With ‘Sound of Ghent’ they created the digital extension of the concert hall. For only 5 euros you can experience a live stream concert straight from your living room. With the best image and sound quality. Through the chat box and applause button interaction with the other participants is also possible. Each month the concert halls will release the concert calendar via www.soundofghent.be.
