Teis Semey Quintet presents his third release as bandleader, Mean Mean Machine.
The band consists of five virtuoso young jazz talents, and is one of the most exciting new jazz ensembles in the Netherlands. Together they explore the boundaries of improvised music, where raw dynamics and avant-garde elements meet energetic indie rock and meditative classical music. With an unrelenting commitment to teamwork and improvisation, a passionate musical atmosphere is created: raw, with elements from free jazz; but also harmonious, and 'Nordic.'
