April is a busy month for jazz at Turner Sims, with three fantastic artists taking the stage. Tuesday 18th sees multi-award-winning saxophonist and composer Emma Rawicz with her quartet. Her music has a unique sound, ranging from lilting Afro Cuban inspired grooves to hard hitting modern jazz and funk numbers. Extraordinary jazz vocalist, tipped as ‘One to Watch’ by Wonderland Magazine and double winner at the 2022 Jazz FM Awards, Georgia Cécile makes her Turner Sims debut on Friday 21st. Heading back to Southampton with music from his new solo album Battery Life, pianist, composer and producer Neil Cowley brings his mesmerising mix of ambient, electronic jazz on Tuesday 25 April.
