Second Brain

The story of Second Brain begins in London, under the impetus of composer and guitarist Adrien Pigeat, and continues in Réunion where he confronts local music to synthesize a unique blend. In an approach he describes as "jazz in spirit, rock in form, and funk in essence," he cultivates ambiguity between styles and seeks the freedom that makes each concert a new experience. A collective with a variable geometry, ranging from a quartet to an octet, Second Brain offers complex but easily accessible music that is danceable, ethereal, spectacular, and in constant fusion, echoing influences from Frank Zappa, Claude Debussy, King Crimson, Igor Stravinsky, and masters of blues guitar.
