The 42nd edition of the annual Skopje Jazz Festival will take place from 19 to 22 October.
The programme of the Skopje Jazz Festival 2023 maintains its highest international level and the tradition to present the best of jazz and improvised music. Eleven acts from Europe, USA, and Brazil will perform live at the National Opera and Ballet and Youth Cultural Center including Jan Bang & Arve Henriksen with Fame’s Institute Orchestra feat. Dzijan Emin (NO/MK), Ben Lamar Gay Ensemble (US), Roberto Ottaviano Eternal Love (IT), Sylvie Courvoisier/Mary Halvorson Duo (US), Cobalt Code Unit (MK), Jason Moran (US), Joel Ross Good Vibes (US), Rite - Zoe Pia & Mats Gustafsson (IT/SE), Zlatko Kaucic/Barry Guy/Agusti Fernandez (SI/GB/ES), Gard Nilssen Supersonic Orchestra (NO/DK/SE/PL) and Bixiga 70 (BR). Plus documentary film screenings of “Art Pepper: Notes from a Jazz Survivor” and “Music for Black Pigeons”, new CD Release Party: Filip Bukrshliev Trio, awarding the best Macedonian young jazz musician and ‘Jazz for Kids’ workshop.
