First session of 'WIZZ - Women in jazz' at Jazz sous les pommiers

 Jazz sous les pommiers will host in December the first session of "WIZZ - Women in jazz", the first jazz camp for women in France, in partnership with Les Gémeaux, scène nationale (Sceaux, FR).

 

Ten female musicians, from 18 to 35, selected among 40 applications, will meet for a first three-day session in Coutances on December 18, 19 and 20, 2023, followed six months later by a second three-day session at Les Gémeaux on June 19, 20 and 21, 2024. At the crossroads of mentoring, training and sisterhood, this project proposes music practice sessions under the direction of Anne Paceo and Airelle Besson, professional networking sessions and masterclasses with  leading female jazz musicians. WIZZ was made possible thanks to the support of Fondation BNP Paribas, Centre National de la Musique, Région Ile-de-France, Adami and the French Ministry of Culture.
