"Gender Balance: numbers vs respect"
Thursday 27 May 2021, 11.15 to 12.30 CEST.
The panel sessions will focus on two main aspects of the Gender Balance issue, which are the balance (or unbalance) of numbers and at the same time the need to give respect to women in all their roles. What we would like to underline is the fact that numbers are of course important, but they are not the only thing, women must also be equally respected, compensated, rewarded, evaluated.
Speakers will be:
- Pelin Opcin (EFG London Jazz Festival, UK)
- Nadin Deventer (Jazzfest Berlin/Berliner Festspiele, DE)
- Martyna van Nieuwland (Katowice JazzArt Festival, PL)
- Sunna Gunnlaugs (artist/Solfinna, IS)
- Fiona Ross (artist/Women in Jazz Media, UK)
- The moderator will be: Henna Salo (SELLOSALI, FI)
The panel will be available on streaming on the Festival's facebook and youtube accounts and on EJN’s facebook page.
