The Jazz Federation is an non profit association of more than 160 members spread out over Germany. Most Members are Membership-Clubs for about 50 to 100 Visitors.
Memberships are given to Jazzclubs, Jazzfestivals, Jazzpromoters of Jazzconcerts and some special Sponsors.
The DJF had have the 70th anniversary in 2022 and was founded by a group of 20 Hot Jazz Clubs in 1949 - With the 4. May 1952 the Clubs founded the federal Association. +
The leaders of DJF have been active and are actual working in lots of communications groups of German live Jazz in the last 25 years. (jazzahead!, Federal Conference of Jazz, German Jazz Price, Federal Price of German Jazz Clubs/APPLAUSE and so on....).
The main interest is, to help in all tasks of event management and implementation of concerts in German venues. This is particularly about maintaining the German landscape with active advice and support. Many venues have aging board members and so the generational change of boards is in full swing.
