Maison de la Culture d’Amiens is a public cultural institution working with all kind of art. It presents 60 different shows per season in theatre, dance, circus and music. With two festivals, one in January dedicated to dance and one during the summer dedicated to art landscape, it is the most important cultural place in the north of France. One of his main characteristics is to have a jazz record company: Label Bleu which produces artists such as Henri Texier, David Krakauer, Thomas de Pourquery, Rokia Traoré,… Our catalog consists in more than 230 albums distributed in France and Europe. In 2016, for its 30th anniversary, Label Bleu is initiating a three days festival in March, dedicated to Jazz and World Music.

Maison de la Culture d’Amiens has always been a major venue for jazz artists with three stages of various importances. With Label Bleu it became one of the best place in France to perform or to record. Through a demanding program Maison de la Culture d’Amiens and Label Bleu appeared to be an essential stage in the field of jazz and improvised music.

Maison de la Culture d’Amiens remains the last Maison de la Culture as it was defined by André Malraux: a major stage for all kind of art. With a large audience attending concerts but also theatre, dance, cinema and exhibitions it offers an international visibility to artists who are invited to perform and to create. In synergy with Label Bleu it allows to have a complete view on the development of an artistic project from production to touring. Maison de la Culture is working with all national institution in France as well as many promoters and producers in Europe.
