Radio Študent (RŠ)

Though nominally but a radio, RŠ is in fact the central institution for contemporary musical culture in Slovenia. Besides reviewing concerts and albums, setting interviews and playing all kinds of music (including jazz, lots of it), it also organises an annual programme of finding new bands and arranging them a tour.  
It runs a music label, functions as a recording studio, organises a music fair (and a bunch of concerts and festivals), makes video recording of concerts, etc. It is hard to overstate the role it plays for many musicians to be seen and to get onto other stages
