Le Petit faucheux

Le Petit faucheux is a current music scene specializing in jazz and improvised music. With a capacity of 200 seats, its program favors contemporary creation in the field of jazz while offering a place for the great historical references of this music. Le Petit Faucheux organized about 80 concerts a year.

Le Petit faucheux is developing an artistic project with three main axes:
- concerts inside and outside the venue, festivals,…
- support for artists with artist residencies, rehearsals…
- cultural mediation to raise awareness and develop artistic practices among lots of different population.

Created in 1983, Le Petit faucheux is managed by an association with a staff of ten permanent, regularly helped by lots of volunteers.

The structure is supported mainly by the Centre-Val de Loire Region, the Ministry of Culture - Drac Centre-Val de Loire, the Departmental Council of Indre-et-Loire and the City of Tours.
