2022, June 22 to 26
The Monheim Triennale is a new music festival, which presents pioneering artistic positions in contemporary music. Artists from all over the world are invited to develop exclusive "Signature" projects for Monheim am Rhein. After "The Prequel", the workshop edition in 2021, the festival will take place for the first time in June 2022 and use various venues along the Monheim Rhine promenade. In addition to the "Signature" projects, the main artists will perform in various formations, from solo to bigger ensembles. We are looking forward to welcoming more than 100 musicians from all over the world to Monheim am Rhein. The festival will begin with a spectacular opening concert across both banks of the Rhine: Marcus Schmickler's commissioned work "Concept of a Rhine Landscape" on June 22.
