I went to ClasiJazz in Almeria for one week to see what they do, how they work and to meeting the people of ClasiJazz.
It was really nice to meet them, see there places and feel like a part of the Europe Jazz Network family.
However I felt a little left on my own for much of the stay. I had tried to get help setting up a schedule for my week, but we didn't really succeed with that. In the end I had to be very self-driven in order to reach out to the local partners and get in touch. I really missed being helped with getting in touch, being invited into activities and be able to setup meeting to tell about what we do in my organization.
I would love to do it again because I have now learned a lot about making these trips. The biggest thing I have learnt about the structure of this is that we really need to setup some activities for the person who is visiting. I felt lonely a lot of the time and for most of my stay didn't have any of the local partners to be with. I ended up doing a lot of work, researching and learning about the local scene but it would have helped to have a local "guide/mentor".
