From: Plataforma Jazz España (Spain)
To: Jazz Finland / Suomen Jazzliitto (Finland)
Dates: 22 - 29 April 2024
It was a very intense week where I was able to experience Finnish jazz with a large number of activities and learn from them.
Maria, the director of Suomen Jazzliitto, organized a very complete agenda for me where I could enjoy a variety of activities, from meetings with the entire team to learn about the association internally, concerts at important festivals and jam sessions, to meetings with important personalities in the world of music. Finnish jazz.
For me it was a very pleasant experience professionally and personally, where I learned how such an important and ancient federation works, but I also got to know another country and cultures, and other languages, and above all I had the pleasure of meeting wonderful people.
This program is 100% recommended for those members who want to discover new avenues of jazz outside their borders, new projects and make new contacts.
Furthermore, for the Jazz Spain Platform, whom I represent, I think it is an opportunity to make itself known, since it is relatively new, and learn from other older and more experienced associations to be able to apply what is most interesting and beneficial to us.
I am very grateful to both the European Jazz Network and the Plataforma Jazz España and my company Sedajazz for giving me the opportunity to live this unforgettable adventure.
